1920s Liberty Nuss Mfg Co. 2323 Model Trumpet Silver w/ Mouthpiece + Case
This 1920s Liberty trumpet model 2323 by Nuss Manufacturing Co., Harrisburg, PA., is a cool and rare find with the case, music holder, and mouthpiece. The trumpet has "Liberty Muss Mfg Co. Harrisburg, PA" engraved on the outside of the bell with florals around it. The trumpet has a decent amount of tarnish though polishes up nicely. I did a quick polish on it, pieces of the music holder, and the mouthpiece. The instrument is stamped "P25901" on the back of the keys. The mouthpiece is stamped "Trumpet." There is a small dent on the U joint on the trumpet (see photos). The case is well-loved, dirty, and a little musty. The two of the three latches on the case work. The center latch does not. The bell has a 4.75" diameter. This would be an excellent restoration piece or addition to any trumpet collection!
Condition: The trumpet has a decent amount of tarnish though polishes up nicely. I did a quick polish on it, pieces of the music holder, and the mouthpiece. The instrument has light scuffs and scrapes. There is a small dent on the U joint on the trumpet (see photos). The case is well-loved, dirty, and a little musty. The two of the three latches on the case work. The center latch does not. The case has several broken spots on the outside (see photos). The music holder stem is bent and the top part of the holder is tarnished. Please carefully review the images, as they serve as an extension of the description.
