Antique Moriage Japanese Ewer Unsigned Hand-Painted Floral Jug Vase w/ Handle
This gorgeous antique hand-painted Japanese Ewer is sure to garner glances and start conversations. This piece is beautifully detailed with moriage. The bottom of the piece is unsigned but it is from around the 1890-1910 or Late Victorian Era. The coloring and hand-painting are gorgeous and the piece is detailed and elegant. Condition: There are a few chips in the moriage as shown in the photos. One of them is on the handle and the small nub is missing with it, one on the bottom edge of the base, and a few on the sides of the piece. The brown paint is worn in one spot on the edge by the pour spout. Other than these there are no visible cracks or other imperfections. The inside needs a better cleaning. Please carefully review the images as they serve as an extension of the description.
